Summary: For once, the major screw up for this play isn't some jealous actor, but rather a stowaway who had no place on the stage. It just so happened that that play was all about a crafty serial killer, and he fit the bill perfectly.

History: Irving Wallace was a crook locked up in an asylum until he planned his great escape. When that succeeded, he found himself trailing some young actors prepping for a play about the Night Owl, a deadly murderer. Donning the mask of a barn owl, Wallace began to kill the actors one by one.

Notable Kills: Tears a girl in half after a bloody tug-o-war.

Final Fate: Even after Wallace is cast off a catwalk and set on fire, it takes a bullet between the unmasked eyes to do him in. Even then, he gets a smirk out of the deal.

Powers/Abilities: Extreme durability.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-Wallace's horrid capacity for violence is already an unsettling thing, but then there's his choice of attire. That dead-eyed owl mask will haunt your dreams.

Trivia: -One screening of this film had fans chucking white feathers at the screen, as they number by the bucketload in the film's climax.

-The killer's final smirk was done as a homage to the slasher cliché of the killer never quite dying at the end.
